The Dordogne region of France proves to be one of France’s most beautiful regions, as well as the country’s most popular. The Dordogne’s towns are each captivating.  Visit Sarlat with its fantastic open air market; Domme, one of the France’s most beautiful walled cities; and Beynac with its stunning surrounding châteaux.  The Château de Beynac, a 12^th century fortress, stands 500 feet above the Dordogne River.  Across the river at Château Castelnaud, one finds another gem, complete with intriguing displays within.
